Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of makepost, available at makepost.live (the “Service”). By creating an account or using makepost, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which describes what information we collect and how we use it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

makepost is operated by an individual developer. Contact support@makepost.live with any questions about these Terms.

1. What makepost does

makepost lets you design carousel-style slide decks — with AI assistance or by hand — from your own content, stock photos, and images pulled from Pinterest boards you point it at. You can download the finished slides, or connect a TikTok account and publish or schedule them directly to TikTok using TikTok’s Content Posting API.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including any TikTok account you connect to it. Tell us right away at support@makepost.live if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age TikTok requires to hold an account in your country if that is higher, to use makepost.

3. Connecting and using TikTok

Connecting a TikTok account is optional and requires you to authorise makepost through TikTok’s own OAuth login, where TikTok shows you exactly what permissions you are granting. We only ever request permission to read your basic profile and to publish content — never to read your messages, followers, or anything else.

When you schedule or publish a post, makepost sends it to TikTok exactly as you composed it — the caption, cover image, visibility setting and any other options you chose. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to publish and for complying with TikTok’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. We are not responsible for how TikTok treats, ranks, restricts or removes anything you publish through us. You can disconnect a TikTok account at any time from your dashboard, which immediately deletes the stored tokens for that account — see our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you create, upload, or generate with makepost — your text, your photos, and the finished carousels. By using the Service you give us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit that content solely as needed to provide the Service to you — for example, sending a slide’s images to TikTok when you ask us to publish it. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload or point makepost at (including Pinterest boards), and for making sure it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law.

5. AI-generated content

Carousel text can be generated with AI on your instructions. AI output can be wrong, misleading, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing anything makepost generates before you publish it — nothing is posted to TikTok automatically without you scheduling or sending it yourself.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use makepost to:

• Publish content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or that violates TikTok’s Community Guidelines;
• Generate, upload, store, or publish NSFW, adult, or sexually explicit content of any kind, including nudity, pornography, or sexualised depictions of minors — this is strictly prohibited under any circumstances, regardless of whether the content is AI-generated or user-supplied;
• Impersonate someone else, or post to a TikTok account you are not authorised to use;
• Attempt to circumvent our plan limits, credits, or access controls;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or access it by any means other than the interface we provide;
• Use the Service to build a competing product by scraping or reverse-engineering it.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including disconnecting a TikTok account, at our discretion, and reserve the right to remove any content that violates this policy without notice.

7. Plans, credits and billing

Some features require a paid plan or credits, described on our Pricing page. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Creem; by purchasing a plan or credits you also agree to Creem’s applicable terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; purchased credits, once bought, do not expire but are non-refundable except where required by law. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your dashboard’s billing page.

8. Third-party services

makepost relies on third-party services to work — TikTok, Pinterest (for boards you point us at), stock-photo search, AI providers, our hosting and storage providers, and our payment processor. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or content on those services that are outside our control.

9. Disclaimers

makepost is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free operation. We do not guarantee that content published through makepost will perform any particular way on TikTok, or that TikTok will accept, keep visible, or not restrict any post.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, makepost and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including any action TikTok or another third-party service takes with respect to your account or content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50 if you have not paid us anything.

11. Termination

You may stop using makepost and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@makepost.live. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) with reasonable notice where practical.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use makepost after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
